4VS WINS FOUR (4) VIDEO AWARDS

Four Village Studio won four "Nor'easter Awards" at this year's "Alliance for Community Media, Northeast Regional Video Festival". 4VS host-producers were presented with two 1st Place awards, one 2nd Place award, and a 3rd Place award at the recently held annual ceremony. Eligible entries for this competition were mandated to have been produced and first-time cablecast during 2021.

The studio collected a 1st Place finish for an episode of "The Antique Road Test" produced by Walter Gosden and John Salemmo. The winning program, entered in the Historical Documentary category, showcased the impact of "Brewster & Co.", a carriage builder and early automobile manufacturer.

Another 1st Place award, in the General Talk Show category, was given to producer Rex Whicker for his program "Uncorked". The episode featured the creative pairing of various wine options with multiple versions of the musical composition Ave Maria.

A 2nd Place award, in the Municipal/Government Programming category, went to producers Larry King and Bob Wisniewski for their program "FPFD: Red Alert". In the episode, titled "Emergency Medical Technology", the two Floral Park Fire Department members described and demonstrated three lifesaving pieces of equipment.

A 3rd Place award went to host/producer Lt. Will Doherty for an episode of "FPPD: Behind The Badge" entered in the Community Impact category. During this program Lt. Doherty along with Sgt. Dean Mayo and P.O. Robert Hayes of the Floral Park Police Department aptly covered the tough topic “Surviving An Active Shooter”.

The award-winning producers were acknowledged during a ceremony in North Andover, Massachusetts on Saturday, November 12th. The annual regional festival accepts program entries from community television producers throughout New England and New York State. This is the 22nd year that Four Village Studio has submitted entries to the festival where hundreds of programs vie for the top honors. 4VS has collected 68 awards in numerous categories since first entering this regional competition.
